EGX 2016: Deceit

Published on 1st March 2016

Today we're really excited to share with you some information about one of the games that we've been working on since we started in October 2015. Our first game, Deceit, will be revealed at EGX REZZED, at the Tobacco Dock in London, 7-9th April. The pre-release will be available to play on PC at our 10-player, asylum themed stand!

As a studio we have a strong focus on multiplayer games. As mentioned in a previous blog post our tech team has been working on networked gaming infrastructure which we were keen to put to use for our first game project. Our focus: to create something that's fun to play as a group whilst being just as fun to watch - perfect for today's online audience.

So, some details about the game. We've internally labelled what we're making as a 'psychological thriller'. More specifically the game sees a group of people abducted and put into our first map, an abandoned asylum. Some of the members of the group ("the infected") have the objective of killing everyone else at opportunistic times. Meanwhile, the others have to determine who the infected people are and convince others to help eliminate them. During the game there are various challenges that will test each individual's trust and deceit of others.

We will be announcing our platform partners and our release trailers shortly before the event, so stay tuned to this blog and our social media channels for the latest news as we approach our launch!
